The Community Choirs of Huntington County (CCHC) has been providing a quality choral experience to children of Huntington county for over 29 years.

Not only are CopperSound members great singers, they are excellent instrumentalists as well! These three singers swept the Best Performer awards at the HNHS spring band concert. Elliot Bostel, Best Performer in Percussion, Lizzie Thomson, Best Performer in Woodwinds, and Lucas Lehman, Best Performer in Brass. Congratulations!

Did you know… some members in Children’s Choir (grades 3-8) are given the opportunity to participate in a select ensemble called the Treble Tones. This group serves to challenge those that have developed both musically and as leaders in the choir. You’ll get a chance to see the full ensemble at our April 23rd Spring Concert!

Last weekend, the two gentlemen in the upper right, Elliot and Jay, each performed a solo at ISSMA vocal state competition and both earned PERFECT scores! CCHC and Copper Sound are proud of you!!

Our first rehearsal of the CCHC 2021/2022 season is Monday November 1st.

Joyful Songsters 7:30-8:30 at First Presbyterian Church 50 E Tipton St

ANNOUNCEMENT: Mark your calendars, CCHC rehearsals officially begin on November 1st! Our new Children’s Choir director is Hannah Ehle, future posts will share more about this exciting addition to the talented CCHC staff. Auditions for new singers will be held October 25th- contact us at or thru messenger to arrange an audition.

Children’s Choir/Treble Tones & Copper Sound will meet at Huntington University starting at 6 PM. Joyful songsters will meet at First Presbyterian at 7:30. Our Winter concert for all choirs will be held December 4th at First Presbyterian. Events will be posted with full details. We look forward to a great season!

We are thrilled to introduce Hannah Ehle, joining CCHC as the director of the Children’s Choir and Treble Tones. Hannah graduated from Huntington University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education. She taught choir and General Music at MSD of Wabash County for the 2018-2019 school year. She was then the Choral Director for grades 5-12 at Bluffton-Harrison MSD for two years. Recently, Mrs. Ehle has returned to MSD of Wabash County where she teaches General Music for students in grades PreK-3. Along with teaching, she has also performed publicly as Soprano Soloist for the South Adams Ministerial Association and Huntington University’s renditions of Handel’s “Messiah” (2020; 2019, 2017). She is also a part of the Huntington University Community Band. Mrs. Ehle currently resides with her husband James in Huntington.
