How to Join

Open auditions for Treble and Concert Choir are held in the spring, summer, and fall for children grades three through nine.  Current members of the choir are NOT required to audition annually.  However, a student who dropped out of the choir during the year or did not return the previous year IS required to re-audition. Individual auditions may be arranged by contacting Denise Gilliland, CCHC Artistic Director at  765-652-4800 or at gillilandchoir@gmail.com.

No audition is required for Joyful songsters.

The Children’s Choir of Huntington County is meant to be a positive learning experience for our children and adults–one they will carry with them throughout their lifetime.  The members of the choir should learn the meanings of “commitment” and “responsibility.”  They should feel a sense of pride at being in this choir and not take their membership lightly.  Enrollment in CCHC is for the season (August-April) and each member is expected to remain active and committed to the program for the entire term.  In addition, there are several optional summer opportunities and events.  Choir participation provides an excellent avenue for individuals to develop lasting, cooperative relationships with other choir members and directors and a life-long love and appreciation for music.

The Children’s Choir of Huntington County does offer scholarship opportunities. If you would like to know if you qualify or are interested in applying please read the following scholarship guidelines and application.
